I.M Wines began trading in 1981 by producing new wine lists for a handful of restaurants and then sourcing and supplying the wines.

Having recognised a gap in the market for a composite range of products to restaurants, ensured that more and more customers came on board.The spread included Indian, Chinese, Thai and many other food based outlets.

By 1991 the business had grown to £¾ million. Now IM Wines have become a truly composite wholesaler covering all sections of the licensed trade, turning over £4 million. Now only 45% of the business is to the restaurant trade, the majority of business involves the free-trade of pubs, clubs, theatres and hotels.

Growth now encompasses everything from fine wines to cask ales.
